DIFC Art Nights Will Showcase The Impact Art Can Have On Promoting Sustainability
This edition of DIFC Art Nights will showcase the impact art can have on promoting sustainability and inspire artists to take an active role in encouraging positive change through their art, according to the report.
The theme of DIFC Art Nights is in line with DIFC's long-term commitment to sustainability on the Path to COP28, and it gives the public a chance to explore sustainability in a unique and creative way through art.
According to the report, DIFC Art Nights will feature an array of exhibits from international and local artists, including works on display from trailblazing Emirati photographer and artist Jassim Al Awadhi; Abda Fayyaz, whose art reflects oneness with nature and how we are all connected; and Gallery Inside The Box, an NFT-based artistic initiative created using sustainable materials.
DIFC Art Nights is also providing a platform for young people to engage in the art world in a meaningful way, with works on display from young artists from the Royal Guildford Grammar School, Jumeirah Baccalaureate School, and GEMS Wellington School from Dubai and Qatar. Their works of art will be available for purchase on the night, and proceeds from the sales will directly benefit people of determination, it added.
Visitors to DIFC Art Nights are invited to attend panel discussions at Gate Village, Center Stage, on March 16 from 7.30 p.m. onwards to engage with art experts on the importance of making art accessible to all and consolidate the emirate’s stature as a global destination for culture, innovation, and talent.
