JLL's Q2 Market overview report reveals that off-plan transactions in the residential markets of Dubai and Abu Dhabi maintained strong growth momentum in Q2 due to renewed investor confidence and high demand for newly launched projects.
A new report by Strategy& Middle East, part of the PwC network, titled Sustainable Mobility: Inverting the Transport Pyramid, estimates that the governments of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) could release US$400 billion in socioeconomic value through the adoption and deployment of sustainable mobility strategies and technologies.
Plans presently being executed across the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia, are difficult to compare when it comes to large-scale, sustainable, and futuristic building projects. Many promising projects have been announced as part of the Saudi Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative, and several are already ongoing. Each of these is tailored to assist the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in weaning itself off its reliance on petroleum and natural gas such as the Red Sea Project.
The Taweelah reverse osmosis (RO) facility in Abu Dhabi has set a new record by producing 183 million imperial gallons per day (MIGD) of desalinated water, exceeding 90% of its capacity.
This achievement establishes Taweelah RO as the largest operational RO facility in the world. Once fully operational, it will supply 200 MIGD of potable water.
