Innovative Technology Speeds Up Ghaf Tree Planting
"We believe that technology is a force for good, not just for services but for the community and the world in which we live," said Nabra Al Busaidi, Community and Sustainability Manager at CAFU.
Al Busaidi added: "Which is why we're proud to introduce and use our cutting-edge technology to support the UAE's commitment to building a cleaner and greener future. Over the past year, we have significantly reengineered our processes.
This initiative is part of the Ghaf Tree Project, launched by CAFU last year to regreen barren ecosystems across the Emirates.
CAFU has recently pounced on this robotic solution after extensive R&D to optimise the viability of Ghaf seeds in arid conditions.
CAFU has collaborated with the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) for research and development on seed optimisation and viability. The launch of this first-of-its-kind planting technology marks a significant milestone in CAFU's ongoing commitment to a greener future and supporting the UAE's ecosystem.
The Ghaf tree is known for its ability to survive and prosper in harsh environmental conditions, and its planting will help address the global challenge of climate change and support the UAE's goal to become net-zero by 2050.
CAFU's commitment to environmental sustainability and social impact drives the development of ground-breaking technologies, while the UGV technology further cements the company's position as a leader in technology for good.
