LuLu, one of the leading retailers in Saudi Arabia, has taken a significant step towards sustainability by announcing the installation of a solar project at their warehouse located in Riyadh.
Collaborating with Kanoo Renewable Energy and CleanMax, the initiative aims to generate 0.87 million kilowatt-hours of electricity during its first year, thus reducing LuLu’s carbon footprint and achieving considerable energy cost savings.

With this move, LuLu has demonstrated its commitment towards promoting eco-friendliness and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives. The solar project is expected to be completed by the end of this year, enabling LuLu to become one of the most energy-efficient companies in the region.
The director of LuLu Saudi Hypermarket, Shehim Mohammed, expressed his excitement about working with Kanoo and CleanMax towards achieving the company’s sustainability goals.
