UAE's Solar Power Project Shines Bright with Full Capacity | |

Energy China Hunan Thermal Power has announced the successful completion of its 2.1 GW photovoltaic project in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The project is a milestone in green energy under the "Belt and Road" initiative and is Hunan Thermal Power’s first photovoltaic project in Abu Dhabi.
The project is also the largest single solar power station overseas that Hunan Thermal Power has participated in.
The project is capable of meeting the electricity demand of around 160,000 UAE households and will reduce carbon emissions by more than 2.4 million tonnes per year.
The project will increase the proportion of clean energy in the UAE’s total energy structure to over 13%. The project’s completion marks a significant contribution to the sustainable development of the UAE’s national energy economy and is a testament to the strength of Chinese enterprises.
Energy China Hunan Thermal Power executed the equipment installation in the high-voltage area of the step-up station, the installation of equipment in the photovoltaic area, the laying of DC cables, and the commissioning of the entire system.
