Zain Bahrain has partnered with Rental Solutions & Services (RSS) to implement a renewable power source at one of its commercial 5G sites, with plans to expand the solution to more sites.

The Zain brand is one of the most recognised telecom brands across the MENA region, with a brand value in excess of US$2.3 billion.
Rental Solutions & Services: RSS is a go-to partner for emergency generators, temporary standby power rental, and cooling rental solutions in the Middle East.
Founded in the UAE in 2007, RSS has over a decade of experience as a key partner to a multitude of industries requiring standby power and cooling in the GCC and beyond.
The hybrid electrical power solution between generators, batteries, and solar panels has been proven to reduce CO2 emissions by more than 15%.
As Zain Bahrain expands its network to serve increased traffic demands, more of the new sites are in remote locations without access to the power grid, requiring a smart solution to power these locations in a more climate-friendly manner.
The implementation of the renewable power source aligns with three Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Goal 9, Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure; Goal 11, Sustainable Cities and Communities; and Goal 12, Responsible Consumption and Production.
Zain Bahrain continues to invest in new sustainable technologies and innovations to reduce energy consumption in its operations, including upgrading its network stations to the latest generation of power-efficient Massive MIMO radios and replacing its equipment shelters with innovative solutions that reduce power consumption by 60%.
