Nama Water Services Seeks Bidders
The project will provide OWWSC with a cheaper and greener source of electricity while also contributing to the country's renewable energy goals and reducing carbon emissions.
The proposed project will be located within a designated area of over 65,500 square metres, including Al Ansab STP, A’Seeb STP, Al Ghubrah water tanks, and Ghala water tanks.
The development of the photovoltaic power plant is in line with Oman's Vision 2040, which aims to create effective, balanced, and resilient ecosystems to protect the environment and ensure the sustainability of natural resources to support the national economy.
The project will also support the country's decarbonization strategy roadmap by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and contributing to the net-zero target by 2050. The development of a renewable energy scheme will help Oman achieve its environmental sustainability goals and reduce its dependence on fossil fuels.
The project is an important step towards a greener and more sustainable future for Oman, and it is expected to attract a significant number of bids from interested parties.
