Sharaf DG, a leading electronics retailer in the UAE, has taken a conscious shift towards sustainable means by introducing several initiatives for sustainable growth.

One such initiative was the e-waste collection drive during the Dubai Shopping Festival, which encouraged individuals to donate old and used electronics to reduce their carbon footprint.
The drive turned out to be the largest e-waste collection drive of its kind in the region, with 25 kilogrammes of e-waste collected. Yes Solutions responsibly supported the endeavour by recycling the collection.
Sharaf DG has also gone paperless and encourages customers to accept green bills over emails. Cloth and paper bags have been introduced at all stores to take premium products home in green covers. The well-rounded approach has helped gain and serve the environment consistently since they first began.
Recycling old technology greatly helps nurture the green cover by reducing the consumption of everything that destroys it. UAE alone produces 162 kilos of e-waste every year, and donating old electronics can prevent the impact it creates on the environment and reduce their footprint. Sharaf DG has truly sown the seeds for a greener tomorrow this season and hopes to continue making a sustainable shift through future endeavours.
