Sustainable Water Solutions Pave The Way
Penn State has signed a master agreement with ENOWA, a company that aims to pioneer sustainable energy and water innovations, to support research into sustainable water solutions.
The agreement could see up to $6 million invested in developing zero-waste water solutions, with funding offered for up to 15 projects, including desalination of water, recovery of rare earth minerals and metals from water and brine, and minimising water line strain and loss.
The research will be carried out at Penn State and tested at the ENOWA Water Innovation Centre. The Penn State Director of the Institutes of Energy and the Environment, Bruce Logan, a leading researcher in the areas of water and energy, was a key facilitator in the agreement. The occasion was marked by a signing event in Boston during the Discover NEOM tour on April 13.
