To Provide Clean Energy To 132,000 Households
Sineng Electric, a global leader in inverter solutions, has recently inked a significant deal with Larden & Toubro (L&T), a multinational conglomerate specialising in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), for a major solar project in Saudi Arabia. Under the contract, Sineng will supply its state-of-the-art 1500 volt, 6.25 MW turnkey stations to power the Ar Rass solar PV Independent Power Plant (IPP), a key initiative of Saudi Arabia's National Renewable Energy Programme (NREP). The NREP aims to increase the share of renewable energy, diversify energy sources, and promote the decarbonization of the local economy.
The press release highlights the exceptional features of Sineng's inverters, designed to withstand the harsh environmental conditions of Al Qassim, where the project will be implemented. The equipment boasts advanced safety designs, including IP65 certification and forced-air cooling, ensuring reliable operation and security. Additionally, the inverters offer high efficiency, high energy density, and easy transportation and installation, potentially leading to a lower levelized cost of energy (LCOE) and an improved return on investment.
Significant Contribution To Saudi Vision 2030
The Ar Rass solar project, with a total capacity of 700 megawatts, is being developed by a consortium led by ACWA Power. The venture secured a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC). By providing clean energy to approximately 132,000 households in central Saudi Arabia, the Ar Rass PV IPP will make a significant contribution to Saudi Vision 2030, the country's ambitious plan for economic and social transformation.
Wu Qiang, Chairman of Sineng Electric, expressed his commitment to supporting the project and ensuring its successful execution with top-quality products and services. He emphasised the importance of mutual trust and win-win partnerships in creating greater value for customers.
This collaboration between Sineng Electric and L&T represents a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia's renewable energy sector, accelerating the country's transition towards sustainable power generation. Sineng's cutting-edge inverter solutions, combined with L&T's expertise in EPC services, will play a crucial role in harnessing the abundant solar resources of the region, reducing carbon emissions, and promoting a greener future for Saudi Arabia.
