Oman's Botanic Garden: A Nature Wonderland
The garden will also feature tourist attractions such as cable cars, nurseries, a visitor centre, a research centre, a field study centre, habitat gardens, habitat pavilions, play areas, and family zones for fun and relaxation.
It will be home to traditionally cultivated crops and the many ways people use plants in Oman.
The garden is the first of its kind in the sultanate and region to have the entire flora of a country in habitat settings. It will present an unprecedented opportunity for visitors to experience the flora and vegetation of Oman while learning about the agricultural heritage, rich cultural traditions, and legendary hospitality of the country.
The Oman Botanic Garden will be a tourist landmark with multiple uses and will be added to the list of iconic landmarks in the sultanate, showcasing its diverse geography.
Work is moving at a steady pace, and the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism is set to launch the first phase of the project by the end of this year.
