DEWA And WeGO Discuss Urban Sustainability
DEWA supports the Smart Dubai initiative, which aims to make Dubai the smartest and happiest city in the world through renewable and clean energy projects, the smart grid, research and development, and other initiatives.
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), said that the UAE’s wise leadership attaches great importance to environmental sustainability and enhancing the happiness and well-being of citizens, residents, and visitors. He emphasised that DEWA supports the Smart Dubai initiative launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which aims to make Dubai the smartest and happiest city in the world.
Al Tayer also highlighted DEWA’s smart grid and its role in supporting the smart city by managing facilities and services through interconnected systems that use the latest disruptive technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. These include artificial intelligence, blockchain, energy storage, the Internet of Things, and others.
