Vale Signs Agreement For Sustainable Mining
The facility will produce low-carbon products for the steelmaking industry, and the agreements will provide the project with access to utilities and services required for its operations while promoting the use of clean energy and green hydrogen at the port of Duqm.
Vale CEO Eduardo Bartolomeo said the agreements marked a significant milestone in establishing the company as a leader in sustainable mining.
The project is expected to produce raw materials for steel industries and enhance the use of clean energy and green hydrogen in the facilities that will be established.
Port of Duqm CEO Reggy Vermeulen said the strategic location of the port and its world-class infrastructure make it an ideal location to establish major industrial projects and a future hub for green hydrogen and its derivatives.
