Volunteers Join Forces For Beach Clean-Up
The initiative aimed to protect the natural beauty of the region's beaches and ensure the safety of marine life.
The zoo and resort joined the beach clean-up on May 15, with around 15-20 staff members eagerly participating in the initiative. The volunteers managed to remove over 100 kilograms of debris, including plastic bottles, fishing lines, rubber mats, broken glass bottles, Styrofoam, nylon ropes, metals, and rags.
Dr Waleed, Hussein Zoo Director & Deputy CEO of Emirates Park Zoo & Resort expressed his admiration for the team's enthusiasm and determination, mentioning that "their unity and dedication to preserving the region's natural beauty were truly inspiring." Emirates Park Zoo & Resort remains committed to making the region a cleaner and healthier place and will keep engaging with the community through education, advocacy, and more initiatives focused on reducing pollution, raising environmental awareness, and driving animal welfare projects.
