Qatar Airways says 2050 net zero target challenging for airlines to meet | |

Alexander Cornwell, Reuters News reported that Qatar Airways' chief executive has reportedly said that the industry's net-zero 2050 target, is difficult for airlines to achieve.

It is going to be "very challenging", Akbar Al Baker told a press conference at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) annual meeting of airline chiefs that was conducted in Doha.
According to Al Baker, it is now imperative for other stakeholders including but not restricted to engine makers and oil companies to also contribute towards this net-zero goal.
