The UK's renewable energy developer TuNur has major plans to invest $1.5 billion in building a solar power plant in Tunisia. This power plant will have a capacity of 500 megawatts, Tunisian state news agency TAP said on Tuesday.
The plan was formally announced by the company's CEO Daniel Rich during a meeting with Tunisia's Minister of Economy and Planning Samir Saied in the capital Tunis on Tuesday. The introduction of the new facility could help improve the Tunisian economy to a great extent apart from it inching forward to meet the goals of sustainable development.
