An industrial wastewater treatment plant has been established with a design capacity of 700 cubic metres per day, to rationalise water consumption by reusing treated water and a sewage plant with a capacity of up to 100 cubic metres per day, through which treated water is used to irrigate trees and green spaces inside and outside the company, which led to a 66% reduction in pollution loads.
The Minister of Environment added that the company used natural gas as an alternative fuel to diesel, which led to a reduction in emissions, with a reason ranging between 75-99%, in addition to the economic return from replacing environmentally friendly fuels. The company’s environmental measures contributed to reducing the carbon load by 32 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent per year.
Amr Morsi, the Managing Director of Rameda, stressed the company’s understanding of the responsibility it bears to align its operations with the best standards of sustainability.
