The green city, dubbed 'XZERO,' will be home to around 100,000 people and will function as a self-sufficient metropolis with places to shop, eat, and visit. "XZero will be the most walkable city in the world with a unique design where the exterior city will look like a flower," the Dubai-based URP company has been quoted as saying. The city's flower-like layout restricts vehicle access, provides wide, secure sidewalks, and promises to generate 30,000 eco-friendly jobs.
The Daily Mail reported that the city will be built in phases and that its various facilities, such as those related to healthcare, education, and others, will be located in their own distinct "hubs." However, the publication did not reveal when construction would begin. The newspaper also noted that URP Company's design engineers have verified that the city will ensure residents' access to food and energy while also fostering a recycling-based, environmentally-friendly economy.
