NEOM is a revolutionary future land now under construction in northwest Saudi Arabia. The third iteration of the exhibition, which will run from November 6, 2022, to April 29, 2023, will welcome visitors to the Kingdom's capital for a full six months to see NEOM's vision of a future metropolis through cutting-edge urban architecture. Visitors to this special edition of THE LINE designs exhibition will be taken on a journey unlike any other, learning about the urban planning and architectural features that will reimagine livability in THE LINE and getting a comprehensive look at the sectors and surrounding natural landscapes of NEOM, a place where humans and machines can coexist in harmony. THE LINE, unlike conventional cities, would use only renewable energy to power its operations and will place emphasis on residents' health and happiness ahead of their access to reliable public transportation and other basic services. The city is 200 metres wide, 170 kilometres long, and 500 metres above sea level, and its designs provide its most important traits.
THE LINE's compact footprint of only 34 square kilometres will help preserve 95 percent of NEOM's natural landscape and promote environmental sustainability. Some nine million people will call the linear city home someday. Zero Gravity Urbanism, upon which THE LINE's design is based, proposes vertically stacking city operations to allow residents free movement in all three dimensions (up, down, and across) of the city. This plan makes it easier to get around the city, whether you're looking for a place to live, work, or attend school. Because of its innovative modular layout, THE LINE places all of its services and amenities within a five-minute walk of any point in the station.
