His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, opened the much-anticipated MEBAA Show 2022 at the Dubai Airshow site on 6 dec 2022. The international business aviation show, now in its ninth edition, will continue through the eighth of December, 2022.

The conference will focus on digitalization, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and cryptocurrency-based payments, all of which are recognised as key trends that are propelling the industry forward and will be central topics of discussion. Other key themes will include the future of aviation, sustainability, emerging markets, and regulations.
Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) Founding and Executive Chairman Ali Ahmed Alnaqbi says, "As we continue to experience enormous growth across the business aviation industry, it's been amazing to see so many innovative projects featured at this year's MEBAA Show. On the first day of the event, many new relationships were formed between our guests and exhibitors, and a number of groundbreaking innovations and environmentally friendly solutions were introduced to the market. We're excited to be collaborating with world-renowned experts and thought leaders to present our most impressive event to yet, and we anticipate that the momentum from today will carry over into tomorrow and beyond.
The latest aircraft, technologies, and solutions were on display at the event from a vast array of exhibitors. The tremendous expansion of the business aviation sector over the past few years has unleashed a flood of new possibilities for technological advancement, many of which were on display at the MEBAA show. Exhibitors showcased a fleet of brand-new, state-of-the-art aircraft, each featuring unique capabilities in anticipation of the global private jet market's anticipated $40 billion in 2025, up from an estimated $26 billion in 2021. Aircraft such as the Boeing 737, the SkyLady Boeing 767-200ER, the Dassault Aviation FALCON 8X, the Bombardier Global 7500, the Gulfstream G700 and G650ER, the Embraer Praetor 600, the Airbus ACJ TwoTwenty and Phenom 300E, the Learjet 60XR, and many more were among those on display.
At the same time, Empire Aviation Group celebrated its 15th anniversary at the event, where it also signed a deal with the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) in Dubai South to build a new, multi-purpose business aviation facility on a block of land next to the VIP Terminal.
