The plant will produce up to 600 metric tonnes of carbon-free hydrogen per day.
According to the report, the project will start after the signing of facility agreements by NEOM Green Hydrogen Company with local, regional, and international banks. A commitment letter was also executed with SIDF, the Saudi Industrial Development Fund.
SIDF and the National Infrastructure Fund (NIF) helped pay for the world's largest green hydrogen production plant, which is in NEOM.
Through an exclusive agreement with Air Products, 100% of the global ammonia produced at NEOM will be exported to the world in the form of green hydrogen, as mentioned in the report.
David R. Edmondson (CEO of NEOM Green Hydrogen Company) said, "NGHC has a clear purpose to harness the knowledge and vision of its partner to accelerate the global green hydrogen economy." This aligns with Vision 2030 as well as the goals of the Saudi Green Initiative.
