According to the press release, ABB will launch its ABB Cylon Smart Building Management Systems (BMS) for the Middle East region at the Light Middle East and Intelligent Building Middle East 2023 event.
The event will take place at the Dubai World Trade Center from January 17–19, 2023.
ABB is a leader in technology for electrification and automation, which helps make the future more sustainable and efficient with resources.
The company’s solutions connect engineering know-how and software to optimise how things are manufactured, moved, powered, and operated.
"Building on more than 130 years of excellence," ABB’s 105,000 employees are committed to driving innovations that accelerate industrial transformation, stated the report.
According to the report, the ABB Cylon Smart Building Management Systems portfolio of products covers scalable automation and energy control for a wide variety of commercial or industrial buildings, regardless of size.
The BMS enables buildings to automate functions and reduce energy costs with energy control and management. It also allows real-time monitoring and control of the building facility.
On the launch of ABB Cylon, Thamer Al Omari, Product Marketing Director for Smart Building, proudly commented, "We are proud to present the ABB Cylon Building Management System, our holistic and integrated intelligent building solution, at the event this year."
"It is our latest offering in the smart building management vertical, and it provides customers with a comprehensive solution for smarter and more efficient buildings."
"ABB also has a wide range of products and solutions, from building management systems to conventional wiring devices, that we will showcase at Light ME and Intelligent Business ME 2023," he added.
According to him, ABB has been a long-time supporter of Light + Building events because they offer an excellent platform to meet and network with our partners and customers.
"This year is a perfect opportunity to display our latest building technologies to the Middle East because this region is known for its constantly changing skyline with the addition of many new architectural wonders every year." "It is also a wonderful opportunity for us to discuss the role of building infrastructure in achieving our mission of carbon neutrality by 2030," he said.
ABB’s Approach Towards Sustainability
According to the report, ABB acquired Cylon Controls and its product line, which includes HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) controls and building energy management systems, in 2020.
ABB has since integrated Cylon Controls' smart building portfolio into its offerings, allowing them to provide real-time data, operational analytics, and integrated applications for efficient and sustainable management of buildings, the report added.
ABB Cylon provides a comprehensive approach to smart building management by seamlessly connecting and integrating multiple BMS solutions to guarantee optimal building management and monitoring. Through intelligent air-conditioning, heating, and emergency lighting, it can ensure greater energy efficiency, increase levels of security, and maximise occupant comfort and health.
According to the report, the company is using smart building solutions to address the growing carbon footprint of buildings around the world, which consume more than 30 percent of the world’s energy while emitting 40 percent of global carbon emissions. With its "Mission to Zero" programs, ABB aims to use smart energy and asset management to make any building energy-efficient and carbon neutral and achieve net zero emissions by 2030.
Thamer Al Omari concluded, "We believe that the buildings in which we live and work will play a critical role in the race towards achieving net-zero carbon emission goals." Digital technologies and energy management solutions that sense, monitor, control, and optimise the built environment while interacting with individuals will become the core of decarbonizing buildings. "So, we will see intelligent buildings, where technology helps reduce energy consumption and increase energy efficiency."
Light Middle East is the best place to find decorative, architectural, outdoor, and indoor lighting solutions and to show them off.
The event has now launched Intelligent Building Middle East, which will take place as a dual exhibition conference with Light Middle East and feature the latest in lighting design and smart building technology.
