These projects are funded by the Arab Gulf Program for Development, the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, and the Selah Foundation for Development.
A joint venture in renewable energy to improve Yemeni life quality includes the rehabilitation of wells and the installation of 12 drinking water systems as well as 35 irrigation systems using renewable energy, the report highlights.
It also provides renewable electricity to 133 homes and 20 health care and educational facilities.
A training course for field engineers in water wells operated by the solar system and capacity building are part of the project, it concluded.
