According to the report by ILF Consulting Engineers, Saudi Arabia’s scope of work includes the provision of engineering services of the highest quality for parks in order to achieve a maturity that is ready for tendering on an IPP basis.
ILF Consulting Engineers stated the pre-development studies include a preliminary site assessment, a master plan, environmental baseline surveys, permitting, and an energy yield assessment.
Technology selection and Capex/Opex estimates are also included.
It stated that the scope of work includes studies on geotechnical, hydrological, and glint/glare issues, as well as environmental and social impact assessment.
According to ILF, the mega Saudi projects are among the most prestigious and ambitious developments worldwide in terms of sustainability and innovation.
It is also a key piece of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy, which aims to become a global leader in renewable energy by 2030.
